Sempre is delighted to support the development of the Online Afghan Rubab tutor (OART), which is now available again as a free online resource here: https://oart.eu

The OART celebrates the work of Sempre supported scholar, Professor John Baily, Head of the Afghanistan Music Unit at Goldsmith's, University of London.

Since it's initial launch, in 2013, the OART has been visited by nearly 4 Million people, who accessed information about the instrument, its tuning, core techniques, performances, multi-angle instructional videos and other information, centred on the preservation of the unique musical heritage of Afghanistan.

The OART has been developed and is being run by Dr Evangelos Himonides, Professor of Technology, Education, and Music at University College London.
