We are delighted to announce that Dr Nikki Moran and Dr Michelle Phillips have taken on the role of joint Editors in Chief of the journal Psychology of Music. Dr Moran is currently Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Edinburgh, and is an interdisciplinary researcher with specialism in music in and as social interaction. She brings together specialist musicological skills and psychological research methods, and her work spans topics including the psychology of musical performance and communication, embodied music cognition, and musical multimedia data capture and analysis. Dr Phillips is currently Senior Lecturer in Music Psychology and Head of Enterprise (Academic) at the Royal Northern College of Music. Her research interests include audience response to live and recorded music, neurological response to music listening and performance, music and time, perception of contemporary music, entrepreneurship, and music and Parkinson's. They assume joint responsibility for the journal from 1 October 2024, supported by an able team of Assistant and Associate Editors and an international Editorial Board.
